Hi, I'm Emily. I am a mother of three, Florida native, and have lived in Jacksonville for over ten years. I attended Pace University Law School in New York and Florida State University. Upon graduating law school, I immediately began working for a corporate law firm in New York, representing a Fortune 10 client in a national toxic tort litigation case. I quickly realized that this was not the path for me, and decided to move back to Florida to be closer to family and friends. It was then that I got into real estate, and focused on real estate for over ten years.
Although I will always love real estate, becoming a parent has given me a fresh perspective. I also want to make a difference in people's lives and have become passionate about helping families and small business owners with their legal life planning. I truly enjoy helping clients protect what matters most and plan for their lives and legacies.
In 2006, I began working for Lennar Homes in the land development division of Jacksonville. Once it was clear that the market no longer supported land development and building homes, I shifted my focus to loss mitigation strategies for homeowners and investors and began representing both servicers and homeowners in short sales and foreclosure cases.
I also served as Assistant County Attorney in Nassau County, Florida. I truly enjoyed living in Fernandina Beach and helping the residents of Nassau County. Our office handled all of the legal matters for the Board of County Commissioners, Planning and Zoning Board, Conditional Use & Variance Board, and the Code Enforcement Board. My main focus was representing the Planning & Zoning Board, Conditional Use & Variance Board and the Code Enforcement Board and help make sure that their decisions were consistent with the local and state law and also provide legal opinions about current issues that were presented to them.
Before forming my current practice, I was the assistant general counsel of Gibraltar Title Services in Jacksonville and handled thousands of closings and a large number of short sales. I also acted as in house counsel to over 200 real estate agents at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Network Realty.
Today, I'm focused on helping families with legal life planning and currently limit my practice to real estate, estate planning, business planning, and asset protection strategies. I am married and we have three wonderful daughters and live in Ponte Vedra Beach. The girls and I love to cook and bake together, and as a family we love to go to the the beach.
